ABOUT BAYFORD GROUP

For over 100 years The Bayford Group has developed and invested in a diverse portfolio of companies. Energy has always been the core of the business, from the original 1919 coal merchant business set up by 4 soldiers in Yorkshire, and named after the village where they had been demobbed, Bayford in Hertfordshire – oil distribution in the 60s, energy supply in the 90s to the multimillion pound acquisition of Gulf Gas & Power almost a century later in 2017. Latterly the Group has invested into green technologies with investments into EV infrastructure and tech.

The property and hospitality investments that The Bayford Group has proudly developed include The Bowcliffe Hall Estate, the impressive site of the group Head Offices and the perfect venue for weddings and private hire events, to the country house for hire The Yorke Arms. Our property includes varied sites from The Laudale Estate in Scotland to residential and industrial sites in the group home of Yorkshire.

We carefully select strategic investments which complement our wholly owned portfolio of businesses. As a hands-on active investor, with a presence on the Main Board of the businesses we choose to partner with, we strive for value creation for all shareholders and strong equity rates of return.
